20+ Years of Experience

Captain Lloyd Booth loves to fish! And he can outfish some of the most dedicated guides! His passion for fishing drives him to learn to catch every kind of fish, and he's one of the best Lingcod catchers around.

Lloyd started fishing over 40 years ago, when he caught his first Coho Salmon and was immediately hooked. Though his favourite fishing is trolling for salmon and hunting fo his next personal best, he loves everything about fishing.  From  the constant hunt for the "Gus" or legendary big one, to the peacefulness only found on the water, from the proximity to other sentient beings such as whales or dolphins, to the taste of a fresh catch as your reward, Lloyd is passionate about being on the water.

With a lifetime of experience on the water, Lloyd’s specific experience as a skipper in Port Orford makes him better suited for the waters around the North Island. He knows a lot about running a small boat on a huge ocean, and your safety is always his first priority.

The North Island has the best salmon and halibut fishing in the world. The regular occurrence of whales and orcas put you in the presence of a power greater than yourself. The protected waters on the inside affords you amazing fishing in the majestic fjords. Rock fishing has never been so accessible for all, as you do not have to leave the protected waters to be able to catch prawns, crab. rockfish, salmon, or halibut. Captain Lloyd can’t think of any other place in North America that has so much to offer so close.

Lloyd wants to share his love of catching salmon and lingcod, halibut and rockfish, and being present on the ocean with you, and have you experience the amazing experience for yourself.

Captain Lloyd has his SVOP, Basic Marine Safety, ROC, and Marine First Aid.
